Give

Luke 6:38 “Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure you use it will be measured back to you.” I have seen this verse many times over in my lifetime but I’ve never seen truly what it meant. Since being here in Cambodia I have seen how everything I give out; my time, money, and attention, not to mention the sacrifices I’ve made to be here instead of with my family, has been returned to me over and above all I could ask or think. I see how God has helped me to use my time wisely and as a result I seem to have more of it. I have seen how God has blessed me financially because I choose to give to my church, or to bless my friends with a cup of coffee. I have also noticed that when I gave all my attention to the children in front of me God blessed me with the attentions of my teammates when I needed help. Be Utterly Astounded

Habakkuk 1:5 “Look among the nations and watch Be utterly astounded! For I will work a work in your days which you would not believe, though it were told you.” This past week we ventured out of the city into the province, into a village not on any map, it was crazy! It’s one thing to know places like that exist it’s a whole other to see it first hand. I was truly astounded by the place God brought me. The people living in that village were so happy, they were carefree and even though they didn’t have a lot they shared all they had. I am so excited to watch, as this verse says, and be utterly astounded by the work God is going to do in that little village and throughout this nation. It is; however, so easy to not believe a work like this could happen. With all the odds against it, even though God has said it. But that’s just the point, God said it, and He is faithful to keep His word. Being here I have heard so many stories of God, time and again, fulfilli
